JMPHS is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focusedcollege preparatory institution that carries an excellent reputation in a small atmosphere, making JMPHS conducive to individualized student and teacher interaction.

Located within walking distance to North Florida College, many of JMPHS students take advantage of dual enrolment opportunities for traditional college degrees or highly sought after technical degree and certification programs. The close proximity enables students without transportation to take advantage of two years of college while attending their Junior and Senior High School years. Students are encouraged to take advantage of our advanced curriculum, especially in the areas of math and engineering as well as opportunities offered by Florida Virtual School when their advanced interests lay outside the school’s offerings.

Since its creation as Madison County’s only charter high school, JMPHS has continued to build on its reputation of offering opportunities to a wide range of learners. The faculty and staff are committed to providing as much energy as necessary in order for our students to become successful in an ever changing and competitive world.

Developing leadership skills in the image of our namesake is a critical part of the commitment James Madison PreparatoryHigh School has to our community.
